This palace was built by the Dutch 1744 AD which was once the residence of the British. Bolghotty Palace is located in the scenic island popularly known as Bolgatty Island in Kochi . It is a two-storied palace contains well-decorated bed chambers, a huge lounge wherein historical portraits are displayed. The ferry ride from the mainland Ernakulam to the island is an everlasting experience. You can also find a golf course here. |

DUTCH PALACE |
It is also known as the Mattancherry Palace , it is built in the orient style situated in Ernakulam, built by the Portuguese to be gifted to the king of Cochin . This palace was later taken over by the Dutch who renovated it further and hence got its name as the Dutch Palace .In the centre of the building, is the Coronation Hall where the Cochin Rajas held their coronations. Ramayana. One can find the dresses, turbans, weapons and palanquins of that era which is displayed in the palace.
It is a double-storeyed quadrangular building that surrounds a central courtyard containing a Hindu Temple , enshrining the royal deity, Palayannur Bhagavati. Two more temples are situated on either side of the Palace dedicated to Lord Krishna & Lord Siva respectively. It is one of the oldest buildings in Cochin . |

JEWISH SYNAGOGUE |
It is the oldest Synagogue in the common wealth countries which was built in 1568 AD. The Synanogue still has the scrolls of the Old Testament and the copper plates, which recorded the grants of privilege, bequeathed by the Kochi rulers.
The exquisite hand painted blue Chinese tiles offer an interesting sight here. Not one of the nearly two hundred year old tiles resembles one another. You can find several finely wrought gold and
